REEDS... only the finest grade of genuine handmade reeds are used. These are made by a reed maker exclusively for Petosa. Every reed tongue is made of the finest Swedish blue steel and is individually cut, finished and riveted by hand to duraluminum reed plates. This art takes the reed maker three and one half weeks to complete just one set of reeds. The cost alone for these handmade reeds is equal to one third the cost of the instrument.

Optionally available interchangeable handmade musette tuned reeds give the artist a true Continental Musette Polka accordion.

REED LEATHERS... the finest calf skin is used for making the reed leathers with only the center choice cut of skin being used. Steel leather support boosters are used on 90% of the reed leathers to insure lifetime response.

KEYBOARD... is completely handmade of 20 year old aged American walnut. White key tops are handmade of lucite to insure a smooth lifelong key. Each and every key is hand fitted to precise tolerance. Valve rods are made of duraluminum to maintain stability and air tightness for a lifetime.

REED BLOCKS... made of aged spruce and mahogany. The reed block base (treble & bass) are made of aged walnut in three pieces to eliminate warping. Reed block tops are made of mahogany, finished and sealed to a high polished gloss.

TONE CHAMBER... made from one piece of solid aged mahogany, forming an unequaled tone unmatched by any tone chamber made.

BASS MECHANISM... each piece is individually made and fitted by hand to achieve precision and very fine tolerances. The fulcrum rods are chrome plated to insure a smooth lifelong action.

BELLOWS... are made of special high quality material with twenty folds. The corners are made of stainless steel and the frames are made of solid aged walnut perfectly fitted and finished to a natural high luster. The bellow frame gaskets are made of genuine leather, for a lifetime airtight seal.

AMPLIFICATION... the AM-1100 ESM (Electric Stereo Mute) includes stereo amplification with volume and tone for both the right and left side. Three positions, (off-stereo-mono). Grille mute (open or closed) to improve amplification quality and to give a more muted acoustic sund quality.

ACOUSTIC POWER GRILL ... AM-1100 includes a second interchangeable grille to produce a greater & more powerful acoustical tone. This grille is included with the ESM models. It is also available with a custom engraved eagle, (as shown) or chromed plated eagle design.
