  • Buying a used accordion can be a daunting experience, especially when buying online.  Most used accordions in the marketplace are 50+ years old and need a substantial degree of reconditioning.  You can leave all the worrying up to us as our Certified Pre-owned Accordions come delivered with all reconditioning services completed and more.

Here are some examples of what petosa’s certification process entails…

Certified Mechanical Service: this can and typically does include treble keyboard overhaul or service, bass mechanism overhaul or service, register mechanism service, bellow gasket replacement or service, treble and bass valve replacement or service, bellows inspection/service and more.

Certified Acoustic Service: this can and typically does include reed tuning, reed leather service, reed tongue gapping/positioning,  and replacing any said materials if and when necessary.

Certified Cosmetic Service: this can and typically does include thorough cleaning of keys, buttons, baseboard, inside treble grille, inside bass mechanism, bellows folds, remove surface scratches and clean/buff/shine exterior body.

Certified Warranty: all Certified instruments come with an extended warranty that covers all issues that may have been missed.  Each instrument has its own warranty period based off of quality and age.  All Certified Pre-owned petosa & Giulietti accordions come with a 3 year warranty period.

Certified Accessories: Certified Pre-owned petosa & Giulietti accordions come with new shoulder straps and often back pads & bass straps (if applicable).  Certified Pre-owned Piano, Chromatic, and Diatonic accordions come with the original case and good-condition shoulder & bass straps (back pad if applicable).

Take the worry of buying a used accordion online or in person out of it, and consider a Certified Pre-owned from petosa for many years of enjoyment without the high costs of service.  And don’t forget to take advantage of our 6 & 12 month trade-up program
