petosa.com offers FREE SHIPPING on everything to the continental United States, including accordions (some exclusions may apply). All items shipping to the non-continental United States will be charged regular shipping/insurance rates. If you do not live in the lower 48 states, the automatic shipping estimator will inform you of rates pertaining to your address and/or zip code. Please contact us directly if free shipping does not apply and you have any difficulty with the shipping calculator or if you would simply like to confirm a shipping quote to be accurate. Often times the shipping calculator online can differ from those input manually in our system, so don’t hesitate to call or email us to confirm you are getting the best possible shipping rate. petosa offers a 7-day in-home trial for all accordions both new and used (excludes custom builds).  This offer is valid for customer’s that have never had the opportunity to try the accordion they are purchasing, thus allowing them to do so in the comfort of their own home.  If the customer decides to return the accordion after the trial period, they are responsible for shipping charges both ways.  If exchanging after the trial period, we may help credit the shipping charges towards the next item. We find that most of our customers have their expectations exceeded upon receiving an accordion from us and returns are rarely needed, but this allows the customer to feel confident that, if not 100% satisfied, they can effortlessly make the return. 

NEW ACCORDIONS: New acoustic accordions purchased online or by phone are eligible for the 7-day in-home trial (see above). Items purchased in-store may be exchanged for full credit within 7 days (exclusions apply). New accordions purchased in-store are not refundable. Any transaction fees that are incurred may be deducted from the refunded amount upon return. New accordions that are custom ordered in any manner including (but not limited to) tuning, custom colors/designs, amplification, etc. are non-returnable and full credit upon exchange is not guaranteed. If free shipping was offered, shipping costs for both ways will be deducted from the refunded amount upon return. Exchanges are subject to shipping charges as free shipping is offered for the original purchase only. Customer is responsible for return shipping charges. Returning of non-acoustic instruments are subject to a 25% restocking fee (i.e. Roland V-Accordions, amplifiers, accordions with custom amplification etc.). New accordions must be returned in new condition.

CERTIFIED USED ACCORDIONS: Certified Used Accordions purchased online or by phone are eligible for the 7-day in-home trial (see above). All Certified Used Accordions are offered with a guaranteed 6-month trade-up program (see below for details). Customer is responsible for returning the accordion. Accordions purchased in-store may be exchanged for full credit within 30 days (no refunds for in-store purchases). Any transaction fees that are incurred may be deducted from the refunded amount upon return. If free shipping was offered, shipping costs will be deducted from the refunded amount upon return. Exchanges are subject to shipping charges as free shipping is offered for the original purchase only. Customer is responsible for return shipping charges. Returning of non-acoustic instruments are subject to a 25% restocking fee (i.e. Roland V-Accordions, amplifiers, etc.). New accordions must be returned in new condition. 

TRADE-UP PROGRAM: Our trade-up program allows you to own a Certified Used instrument for 6 months and trade-up for an instrument of equal or greater value while obtaining 100% of the value of your original purchase (less shipping cost if applicable). We extend the trade-up program to 1 year when trading up towards a new instrument of equal or greater value. The 6-month trade-up program is offered as a one-time trade-up, guaranteeing 100% value. After that, there may be depreciation applied to the trade-in and we cannot guarantee 100% value. Our trade-up program applies to all Certified Used (excludes New and Accordion Garage instruments). Instruments must be in relatively the same condition as when they were purchased, without any wear or damage caused by neglect or misuse. After the 6 or 12 month period expires, trade-ins are always welcome and will be appraised upon inspection.

TRADE-INS: Didn’t purchase your accordion from petosa.com? No problem, we can appraise your current accordion(s) for trade value upon inspection. We welcome instruments to be personally delivered for immediate appraisal or shipped from out of state by your choice of courier (see Returns below for shipping instructions). No appraisals or values can be provided without physical inspected by a petosa technician.

ACCORDION GARAGE ITEMS: Items in the Accordion Garage that are purchased online or by phone are returnable within 7 days of receipt. Many items are offered as-is and therefore no warranties are provided for this section of the online store unless otherwise stated. New items are subject to a restocking fee if returned in used condition. In-store purchases may be exchanged within 7 days (no refunds). Any transaction fees that are incurred may be deducted from the refunded amount upon return. If free shipping was offered, shipping costs will be deducted from the refunded amount upon return. Customer is responsible for return shipping.

THIRD PARTY WEBSITE PURCHASES: At petosa.com we take the utmost pride in our service and have policies in place that allow us to work on a case-by-case basis with our customers.  When purchasing an item sold by us through a third party website, we must honor that website’s policies. With that said, we tend to take even better care of our customers than a third party would, so feel free to contact us directly to discuss how we may be able to help you. 

RETURNS & EXCHANGES BY COURIER: To return or exchange an order by courier (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.)…

You must contact us by phone or email to obtain a Return Authorization confirmation.  Upon receipt of RA, return the item including your original invoice or sales receipt. If you do not have your original invoice or sales receipt we will happily provide one for you. We ask that you refrain from using ‘packing peanuts’; a $30 unpacking/disposal fee will be applied if used to ship your instrument.  

Financed or lay-a-way items may receive credit but are non-refundable. A Return Authorization and proof of purchase from Petosa Accordions is required (store receipt, gift receipt, shipping invoice, or account purchase history) for all returns and exchanges.  

Please include a copy of your proof of purchase in your package. No proof of purchase? Include full contact information and any information pertaining to the purchase and we can use our records to confirm the purchase. We recommend insuring valuable items and choose a service with tracking if possible – petosa is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items that we did not ship ourselves.
